To format a PC running on Windows OS, follow the below steps:

1. Backup all the important data, as formatting will erase everything from the PC.

2. Create a bootable Windows installation media. You can download the Windows 10 media creation tool from the official Microsoft website.

3. Insert the bootable installation media into the PC and boot the PC from the USB drive or DVD.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows.

5. Once the installation is complete, you can use the command prompt to format the PC. Here are the steps to follow:

   • Press Windows+R to open the Run dialog box.
   • Type cmd and press OK to open the command prompt.
